When I started out making web sites I discovered a web site called Bravenet, and I knew I had found something special. I was searching for a free web counter so I could see how many hits my site was getting, but I found so much more. Bravenet has a bunch of nifty pieces of code that you copy/paste into the html of your website so that you can have interactive guestbooks, forums, chat rooms, email forms etc. The list goes on and on. This is what I did: I looked at every little service they offered, and thought of ways to use them. I even tried to think of ways to use them "wrong"... as in, use them in a creative new way they were never intended for. After a while, I had a good working knowledge of the Bravenet services, and could easily make interactive web sites. Signing up is free, and all their services are free. Bravenet also has some of the best free web hosting on the net. I often suggest that new users start their site on Bravenet, and if things go well, then start to pay Bravenet for hosting, and the ad banner is taken off the top. I like their free hosting because it grows with you, where as other free hosts are only free hosts, and if your site grows, you will have to move it to a real host etc. The fact that you can start a site for free at Bravenet, and if it succeeds, you can upgrade to pro hosting by just paying a few dollars a month, makes Bravenet a very smart first move. If you are making a web site, and want to do it as cost effective as possible, you have got to click below to sign up for Bravenet now, and start checking out all the possibilities there just waiting for you. For an example on how I have used Bravenet, here is a site I have set up using many of Bravenet's features:
